Kabuki Japanese Steak House

I would really like to rate this place higher, because the food was tasty enough. However, the service was very slow and our server just shy of rude. It was lunchtime and we were one of 2 parties there. The other party arrived 20 minutes after we did, and were seated across from us. We had already ordered, but forced to wait for our food until they had all ordered. Because my mother and I had ordered Bento (not from the grill), we were served while my dad had to wait. It was awkward; fortunately we were not in a hurry. If you're into the showmanship of the chef, don't bother - ours seemed bored and disinterested.

A very large Japanese steakhouse in the middle of the Chester-area. It's humongous and has a good amount of variety in Japanese foods, sushi, and drinks. I sometimes find though that sushi rolls you might expect, and that seemingly are advertised, are not actually available. The service at times has also only been ok and it sometimes feels like they are dragging their feet on things. When the positives and negatives even out it's in the end an alright shop for Japanese food in the area.

Salad had way to much dressing on it. The price was a little high and they dont tell you about adding the gratuity to your bill before hand so pay attention.

This place was awesome. Very friendly and entertaining staff. We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and they were not very busy. Seating is bar style around a grill in the center and your food is prepared in front of you by a very entertaining chef. There are 10 seats so you will share the bar with other guests. The food is given as it is cooked and finished. The food was very fresh and prepared with perfection. The menu is small to keep it simple, but they also have appetizers as well as Steak, chicken, vegetables, and shrimp. Food comes in order of timing similar to a banquet style meal. Expect to spend an average of $25 per person or more if including appetizers or drinks such as wines or beers.

Food was great. We usually go twice a month. However this past time we wanted to sit at a table, not the grill. We were told it was the same price so we said okay. When we got the check a grill fee was added.. so much for being cheaper.

The food was great and the customer service was great.

Outstanding food and service. Disregard these picky peasants that think they know what good is. I've never had an issue here, and probably never will. Worth the time and money.
